I started with G&C Foods in 1995 working in Customer Service. Shortly after starting I became Assistant to the President where I learned and worked in every aspect of the company. While the Assistant to the President I gained additional responsibilities as the Administrative Manager overseeing the daily functions of the Administrative department. Realizing I have a special talent for bringing people together I switched gears and took on the new role of Operations Manager in 2008.
I started with G&C in the spring of 2010, but I began my career in health and safety as a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor when I was a teenager. I continue to develop my skills in all aspects of Safety and Health whenever and wherever possible. All of the experiences I have gained over my career have taught me to bring a down-to-earth perspective to safety. The rule is not as important as the intent the rule was made to enforce. I truly believe safety is not a task to be completed, but a continuous mindset. My talent has always been getting people to buy into that philosophy. Lets face it. Accidents hurt people, and cost money. Neither is good for any business, and I hope to help G&C Foods grow as a safety leader in its industry. On a personal note, I am a father of 4, 2 girls and 2 boys. As you can imagine, they keep me pretty active. I am currently a baseball coach, softball coach, football coach, Den leader, and Cheer team Dad. In my spare time, I am an EMT and Volunteer Firefighter.
I started working for G&C Foods in 1979. I have done every job in operations from selecting orders to delivering orders, from transportation manager to my current position as warehouse manager. In my off time I like to work in my yard spend time with my family and play golf with my son.
